John de Vos

John de Vos is an environmental artist and photographer who mostly works in his open air studio – 53°15′55″N, 4°88′59″O on the Dutch isle Texel. He creates installations in the surf and lets ebb and flow play their part until nothing is left. He studied sculpting at the Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam, but took up photography as well. His work is capricious, modern and almost always also capturing the beautiful light of the northern part of the Netherlands.
